Behind the name;
(as told by Aunt Kimmy)
Remember that favorite aunt
growing up? Well, I have been blessed many times over with many nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews. Never having children of my own...
I always loved being “Aunt Kimmy” to any & all!
One
of the most touching compliments that I have ever received was expressed by my sister in law that I was the best aunt that
she could have hoped to of had for her children...
I love seeing & bringing a smile to any & all that I meet-and
what better way than with some sweets!
My goal is to bring a smile to your face when you bite into one of my creations.
So bring a smile to someone you care about whether family, friend or biz associate with the "Sweetest Gift of All"...
An Aunt Kimmy's Creation!
remember...
"There is more happiness in giving than in receiving"...
I studied & majored in Fine Art at S.U.N.Y. Geneseo after graduating from high school. I then went on to study culinary
arts at the Culinary Institute of America www.ciachef.edu which upon graduation, I then began my life's journey. But I can't help but wonder if my love of pastry began as
a small child when my mom would give me the beaters from the mixer w/the batter on them to lick off? I’ve spent the
last 25 years serving up many memorable sweets. My years have been split between the corporate world & owning my own biz.
My humble beginnings began in the small town of Falmouth on the Cape under the tutelage of Chef Greg Fatigati (oh! Fatti!)
I then went on to continue to learn about the value of high quality & impeccable service with the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company
www.ritzcarlton.com in Naples, Fla & then Atlanta, Ga., and studied abroad in the pastry kitchens of Alain Ducasse http://www.alain-ducasse.com/public/index.htm in the "Hotel de Paris" in Monte Carlo www.hoteldeparismontecarlo.com . While at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, I had the privilage to train under Executive Corporate Pastry Chefs;
Jacque Torres www.mrchocolate.com &
Norman
Love www.normanloveconfections.com . Next was the Occidental Grand Hotel in Atlanta (currently the Four Seasons) & then moved on to create & establish
Edible Expressions for 11 years with my husband Efrem Cutler. While owning Edible Expressions I studied the art of Gum Paste
Sugar Flowers with world renowned sugar artist Nicholas Lodge www.internationalsugarart.com . We sold www.Edible-Expressions.com in 2005. Efrem is currently the corporate executive chef with Outback International www.outbackintl.com located in Atlanta, Georgia.
Together with my husband, thru out our careers, we have fed thousands upon thousands many
gourmet meals, pastries & custom cakes along with many wedding cakes delivering many a smile! We have produced many award
winning items that have been published locally & nationally in print as well as televised. So it is with this portfolio
that I now continue on in the company name of “Aunt Kimmy’s Creations”. It is my goal to bring you all my
years of training, toiling & passion thru some delicious gourmet gifts. May Aunt Kimmy’s Creations also become your
“favorite aunt” and may you enjoy all of my yummy creations!
